Following the most recent 2025 edition, which set records in terms of both exhibitors and visitors, the Busworld Europe trade fair, the world’s largest bus exhibition, will return to Brussels in 2027. According to information provided to our portal by the organisers, next year’s event will run from 16 to 21 October 2027, while the list of exhibitors that have already confirmed their intention to participate includes a number of new names.

The success of the 2025 Busworld Europe exhibition is clearly demonstrated by the fact that the six-day event attracted a total of 45,427 visitors from 116 countries around the world, while the latest products of 559 exhibiting companies, alongside 236 buses, could be viewed on site. Held every two years, the Brussels showcase remains the most important international meeting place for vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, operators, transport authorities and industry experts, covering virtually the entire bus ecosystem.

Although a full year remains until the opening of the next event in 2027, the organisers have already offered an insight into what we can expect next October. A preliminary floor plan of the exhibition area and the exhibitor list are already available online, featuring several new participants alongside familiar names. Among those set to take part in Busworld Europe for the first time are the Chinese CATL, the world’s largest battery manufacturer – and a key supplier to numerous bus manufacturers –; Asiastar, which will add to the sizeable contingent of Chinese bus manufacturers (whose models have so far mainly been seen in Europe in the form of various rebadged versions); and the French company Pysae, which develops real-time digital passenger information and fleet management services. The organisers say they will continue to provide further information in the coming months on participating companies, as well as new products and innovative solutions to be presented – and the bus manufacturers preparing for the exhibition are also expected to do so as the opening approaches.

Naturally, the programme will also include professional side events such as the Busworld Europe Congress, which has now become an important forum for dialogue and the exchange of experience between industry stakeholders, operators and transport policy decision-makers. Through 39 sessions, the 2025 conference brought together 1,242 industry stakeholders, including 22 representatives of the European Commission. Topics ranged from zero-emission mobility and digitalisation to safety issues, socio-economic challenges and the future of long-distance coach passenger transport. Next year, Busworld’s organisers will take this dialogue a step further: in cooperation with consultancy Arthur D. Little and global market and public opinion research company Ipsos, they have conducted a survey among bus operators, industry representatives and transport policy decision-makers to identify their most pressing challenges and priorities. The results have now been analysed and will form the basis for the programme of the next conference. The organisers will soon publish further details on the survey results and the congress themes.
